Knights of North Castle:

Quest for the King’s Armor

Children ages 3yrs. – rising 4th graders are invited to “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of God’s power!” (Ephesians 6:10) Kids will take on the role of brave knights and begin their quest each day by opening the King’s book. They’ll explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of protective armor, the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith and the Helmet of Salvation. Through exploring the lives of familiar Bible characters, they will learn about the pieces of armor and explore how that armor can be used in their own lives as they follow and serve God.

What will VBS look like this year?

5 Small groups will be limited to 15 children each. COVID safety protocols will be followed. Assembly times will be in the Sanctuary and then groups will go to their assigned class space. This year, leaders of science, storytelling, arts and crafts will come to the children. Recreation will be outdoors or in fellowship hall.

Kids that are rising 5th – 6th grades will have a mobile mission experience each day. Lyndsey McCall-Gilliam along with her co-leaders will be taking the Church bus and cars to different mission sites each day. Special permission slips must be signed for off site travel.

Rising 7th graders will have the option of joining the mission group (which they missed last year) or serving as helpers with younger children at VBS on site.
