Welcome Parents & Guardians

As a parent and/or guardian, your encouragement is essential. At their baptism, you promised to guide them into accepting Jesus Christ for themselves and you are the most important person in this process. Each week we will be using Theocademy Confirmation Curriculum that offers fun and unique videos to dive into each subject. These videos will be available to you. I encourage you to watch them and talk to your children about what they have learned. The FPC ministers welcome parents and guardians to come to them with any theological questions or concerns. In doing so, we hope families will grow together in knowledge and understanding of the Presbyterian faith and tradition.

“And shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Deut.6;7

Our Youth Leaders

Our youth leaders are committed individuals dedicated to working with our church youth to bring them closer in fellowship with each other and also help them become shining examples of Christ to the communities we serve.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless God’s holy name….Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and courts with praise!

At First Presbyterian, we make weekly worship a priority. People use words like these to describe our worship: beautiful, joyful, reverent, uplifting and prayerful. Choral music and congregational singing contribute greatly to our worship as does the weekly sermon which is based on Scripture and connects the ancient sacred world of the Bible with our modern, everyday lives.

Sunday School

“THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD” IS MORE THAN JUST A CLICHÉ. God goes to great lengths to rescue lost and hurting people. That is what The Story is all about: the story of the Bible, God’s great love affair with humanity. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the clear, accessible text of the NIV Bible, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. And like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption; and this story’s true! Students in the class will each receive “The Story” book and a devotional book that will guide our conversation time together.

Our Lifeline youth ministry is offered to young people currently enrolled in grades 6 – 12. Middle school youth and Senior highs meet 5:00 – 7:00 most Sundays. Our program provides opportunities for spiritual growth, service, study, fun, and Christian fellowship. Lifeline ventures out into the community for activities, mission trips, and retreats. Check out our Lifeline newsletter to get all the details. Questions? Times will change based on activities. Call Lyndsey at 428-6332 x239; or e-mail at
