Friends,

We invite you to check back for information on our upcoming Confirmation Classes for eighth graders graduating! Join us as we explore our faith, connecting our own experiences with the stories of our Presbyterian heritage.

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is a time to discern what our faith means to us. In this class, you will dive into the Bible stories, Presbyterian Theology, and will be asked to creatively express your own feelings and beliefs around the gospel. Through this process we will be working with mentors who will help us grow and articulate our beliefs each step of the way. Confirmation class is a time of self-discovery in the arms of God ending in an important decision made by the eighth grader to be confirmed as a member of the Presbyterian Church or to continue discernment further.

Mentors

A mentor is a responsible adult that you trust to be honest and open with you about faith. Mentors will be responsible for certain tasks and deadlines and must be able to drive. Your mentor does not need to be your same gender. They should not be a relative to you, a parent of another student in the class, or under the age of 25. A mentor is someone who will guide you through the more difficult portions of confirmation and someone who will continue to support you after your confirmation graduation.
