Children’s Hour
Children’s Hour, a new name for a new thing…
Not quite WOW, not quite Sunday School, but a whole new thing to meet our needs in the moment! Have you heard about our new Children’s Hour offering during the 11:00 service on Sundays? In this unusual season when we cannot offer our usual Sunday School opportunities for children, we hope our children will join us for this hour on Sunday mornings to continue their learning and growth. We are adapting all the time around here, so for now, this is one way we can continue to help our children learn these stories that are sacred to us until Sunday School can safely resume.
Here are the 5 Ws of this ministry for children.
What? A combination of Music, Worship and Christian Education activities, led by Belinda Valet and Jacqui Horton and volunteers on a rotational basis.
Who? Children ages 4 years through 5th grade (15 are allowed at one time currently.)
Where? Gather with Jacqui at the Colonnade at 10:50 a.m. to be escorted over to the Fellowship Hall. Children will be returned to the Colonnade at the conclusion of the worship service to reconnect with parents.
Why? To offer an active, socially distanced, Bible-based learning opportunity for children while their parents worship in the sanctuary during the pandemic.
How do I sign up? When families register for worship online, register children for the Children’s Hour by Thursday evening. (If your plans change and you are able to join us at the last minute text Jacqui at 419-0616 and she will let you know if spots are available).
