Sunday School for Children

For the rest of May 2021, Sunday School via Zoom is offered to elementary-aged children from 9:45 – 10:15am each Sunday morning. We are studying people in the Bible who were changed by Jesus. An email is sent out to parents each week with the link and a list of things to bring to the meeting. If you are not on our list but would like to join us, please contact Jacqui@firstpresvb.org.

During the summer, from June 6 to September 5, Sunday school takes a summer vacation, but we offer many other children’s activities to keep our children engaged during the summer months. Watch our church newsletter for details!

On Rally Day, September 12, we will resume in-person Sunday school classes for all ages.

Vacation Bible School will be held at the church August 2 – 6 from 9:00am – noon each day. Ages 3 years – rising 6th graders are invited to join us in person. See Event:Vacation Bible School for information and registration.

Summer Wonders of Worship 2021

Wonders of Worship for children ages 4 yrs. – 2nd grade is offered during the 8:30 and 11:00am services. Children are invited to attend the worship service and stay through the Spirit box, a children’s time with Pastor DeeDee. Afterwards, children are escorted to the Fellowship Hall and sometimes outside for activities. Ms. Belinda leads music (instrumental until we’re able to sing together again) and Ms. Jacqui engages children in Biblical storytelling, fun learning activities and times of wondering and worship. Wearing masks and social distancing are required for participation. Make sure your family signs up for worship and we will do the rest in welcoming our children.

*Nursery is provided for the youngest of children and infants. Please sign up your children when your family registers for worship so we can keep our numbers to 10 or less with three professional caregivers.

Parents & Family

Church is a welcoming place for families to learn and grow together through faith enrichment ministries. Whether families worship on Sunday mornings or fellowship and learn through events like Advent Workshop or a talent show, a variety of ages coming together create that warm feeling called Church family.

Sunday School classes offer individuals Christian educational opportunities that appeal to children and youth in age-appropriate classes. Adults can choose traditional or discussion-oriented Bible studies or topical classes like Sacred Parenting for adults.

More than ever we also need your help. If you are interested in volunteering to help us with Sunday school for our children, please contact Jacqui Horton at Jacqui@firstpresvb.org.
