    Worship

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless God’s holy name….Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and courts with praise!
At First Presbyterian, we make weekly worship a priority. People use words like these to describe our worship: beautiful, joyful, reverent, uplifting and prayerful. Choral music and congregational singing contribute greatly to our worship as does the weekly sermon which is based on Scripture and connects the ancient sacred world of the Bible with our modern, everyday lives. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month and the Sacrament of Baptism upon request.
    SUNDAY SCHEDULE:
We look forward to worshiping with you in person on Sundays at our summer service held in the Sanctuary at 9:30 AM. In September we will return to our normal Worship schedule, 8:30 AM in our Chapel and 11 AM in our Sanctuary. Our service is also offered online. Sunday school for all ages takes place at 9:45am all across our building. Nursery is available for our youngest children each Sunday during both worship services and the Sunday school hour.
    LOCATION:
The chapel entrance is on the Pacific Avenue side of our campus.
The sanctuary entrance is on 36th Street.
Parking is available in our large lot located one-half block north of 36th Street, between Pacific Avenue and Sea Pines Road

    WHAT TO WEAR:
How people dress for worship is entirely up to them. Many people dress up for worship, but some prefer “business casual.” Some people dress more casually in the summer.

    CHILDREN IN WORSHIP:
At First Presbyterian we believe in raising children who are comfortable with our faith traditions and worship practices, therefore, we welcome all God’s children to attend worship. Additionally, we offer a professionally staffed nursery for babies and a program called “Wonders of Worship” for children from 4 years old through 2nd grade.
