First Presbyterian Church extends a special invitation to you to join us during Lent and Easter.

 

March 28, Palm Sunday
8:30 a.m. Worship in Chapel
9:45 a.m. Sunday School
11:00 a.m. Worship in Sanctuary, Children's Palm Processional, NOON: Easter Egg Hunt

April 1, Maundy Thursday
The Fellowship Committee invites you to dinner at 6:15 p.m. in Stanton Hall. The cost of dinner, which will be smoked turkey, honey ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and corn, is $8.00 per person ($25.00 family maximum) with advance reservations,$9.00 if no reservations are made. A Worship Service will follow dinner at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary and will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. April 2, Good Friday
7:30 p.m. Worship Service in Sanctuary includes Tenebrae: A Service of Darkness by Hal Hopson, which follows a tradition of the early church dating back to the eighth century and which remembers the final hours of Christ's life as he prepared for and suffered death on the cross.

April 4, Resurrection of The Lord, Easter Sunday
Greening of the Cross (prior to each service) - Each person attending worship on Easter Sunday is asked to bring a flower and to come a few minutes early to place their flower on the cross located at the corner of Pacific Avenue and 36th Street.
8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Worship in Sanctuary - Both Easter services will include music of the season presented by the Chancel Choir and the SYMPHONICITY Brass Quintet
9:45 a.m. Sunday School
